A few years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to leave behind normal life and sail across the Pacific Ocean.
Depending on who you ask, that was either brave, inspiring, or completely unhinged.
Turns out, it was a little bit of all three.
This blog started as a place to share stories from life at sea, crossing oceans, getting caught in squalls, learning how to sail, and occasionally questioning all of my life choices at 3 a.m. during a night watch.
But somewhere along the way, it became about more than sailing.
It’s about adventure, starting over, figuring things out as you go, and realizing that life doesn’t always follow the plan you thought it would.
Here you’ll find stories from the ocean, travel adventures, lessons I’ve learned the hard way, thoughts on life, and probably a few moments where I laugh at myself because honestly, that’s usually the only option.
I don’t have everything figured out.
Actually, I have very little figured out.
But I’ve learned that some of the best things in life happen when you stop waiting and just go for it.
